The Crown (Corona) hill is located approximately 75 kilometers from San Pedro de Atacama, 35 kilometers northwest of Talabre, in the region of Antofagasta, in Chile.
Its maximum height is 5291 meters above sea level. The Crown (Corona) is named after the rock formation of the summit.
Time to the top: 3 to 5 hours depending on the walking rithm.
Vertical ascended distance: 700 meters aprox.
Necessary gear: Warm clothe (gloves, hat, polar jacket, windbreaker, etc), sunglasses, sun protection, trekking boot y trekking canes.
Tips: Take a light breakfast in the morning. Energy food should be taken for the walk.
Approximately expedition time: From 6AM (departure from San Pedro de Atacama) until around 5PM (arrival to San Pedro de Atacama)
– Private transportation (4×4 vehicle).
– Guided trekking (english/spanish).
– Gear and clothe the traveler may not have.
